K. Tang is a former teacher who has years of experience in character education. She believes character education plays a vital role in helping children develop their full potential and enable them to gain the social-emotional tools to succeed in society.
She hopes this series will encourage and empower storytellers to be educators of character for their children.
What inspired me to create Character Zchool Series?
It was the parents of my students!
One of the most asked questions by parents was, “How do I teach my children good character at home? It’s so abstract, unlike maths and English. ”
It was questions like this that made me realize there was a need for parents at home.
Why Character Education?
In order to thrive in a technology driven, rapidly changing world, children need more than grade, scores, and awards. They need to build strength from within as well - Character, the mental and moral qualities that make them strong human.
When we help children develop Good Character at a young age, we are building strong inner foundation so that kids can handle life's inevitable challenge and thrive.
